1. Introduction

These Terms of Sale ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of Kosmo Notes premium subscriptions and related services. By completing a purchase, you agree to be bound by these terms.

• Everything in Study
• Advanced analytics dashboard
• Priority support
• Early access to new features
• API access (coming soon)
• Dedicated account manager

3. Pricing & Payment

3.1 Pricing

• All prices are shown in USD unless otherwise specified
• Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice
• Promotional pricing applies only for the initial subscription period

3.2 Billing Cycle

• Monthly: Billed on the same day each month
• Annual: Billed once per year with discount (typically 20% savings)

3.3 Payment Methods

We accept:

• Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
• PayPal
• Apple Pay
• Google Pay

3.4 Taxes

• Prices exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise
• You are responsible for all taxes based on your jurisdiction
• EU customers: VAT will be added at checkout

4. Subscription Terms

4.1 Automatic Renewal

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• We will send a reminder 7 days before renewal
• Renewal charges the then-current price

4.2 Cancellation

• You may cancel at any time through your account settings
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
• No partial refunds for unused time

4.3 Downgrades

• Downgrading to a lower plan takes effect at the next billing cycle
• You will retain access to premium features until the current period ends

5. Refund Policy

5.1 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

• First-time subscribers get 14 days to request a full refund
• Contact support@kosmonotes.com within 14 days of purchase
• Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days

5.2 Exceptions

• Renewals are not eligible for refunds
• Promo-code subscriptions are final sale
• Account terminations for violation of Terms of Use are not refundable

5.3 How to Request a Refund

2. Go to Settings > Subscription
3. Click "Request Refund"
4. Or email support@kosmonotes.com with your request

6. Free Trial

6.1 Trial Terms

• We may offer free trials for new users
• Trial duration varies (typically 7-14 days)
• Credit card may be required for trial registration

6.2 Trial Conversion

• Before trial ends, you must subscribe to continue using premium features
• If no subscription is made, you will be downgraded to Free plan

7. Billing Disputes

7.1 Disputing Charges

If you believe a charge is incorrect:

1. Contact billing@kosmonotes.com within 30 days of the charge
2. Include your account email and transaction details
3. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days

7.2 Chargebacks

• Initiating a chargeback may result in account suspension
• We reserve the right to dispute chargebacks and provide evidence

8. Promotions & Discounts

8.1 Promo Codes

• Promo codes cannot be combined
• One code per account
• Codes have expiration dates
• Discounts apply to first billing period only

8.2 Student & Educator Discounts

• Verified students and educators receive 50% off
• Verification through SheerID or similar service
• Discount renews annually with continued verification

8.3 Lifetime Deals

• Limited-time lifetime deals may be offered
• Lifetime = duration of your account existence
• Non-transferable
• May not include all future features

9. Enterprise & Custom Plans

9.1 Enterprise Pricing

For organizations requiring custom solutions:

• Custom pricing based on user count and features
• Annual contract required
• Dedicated support and SLA

9.2 Custom Integrations

• Available on Pro and Enterprise plans
• Custom development time may apply
• Separate agreement required

10. Payment Security

10.1 Data Protection

• All payments processed through secure, PCI-DSS compliant providers
• We do not store your full credit card details
• 3D Secure verification for card payments

10.2 Currency Conversion

• If your card is in a different currency, your bank may apply conversion fees
• We are not responsible for currency exchange differences

11. Changes to Pricing

11.1 Price Changes

• We may adjust prices with 30 days' notice
• Existing subscribers keep their rate for the current billing period
• At renewal, new rates apply unless you cancel

11.2 Feature Changes

• We may modify included features with notice
• Major changes will be communicated 30 days in advance
• If you disagree with changes, you may cancel

12. Account Suspension

12.1 Non-Payment

• Accounts with failed payment are suspended after 7 days
• You will lose access to premium features during suspension
• Reactivating requires settling outstanding balance

12.2 Fraud Prevention

• We may suspend accounts suspected of fraud
• Verification may be required to restore access

13. Warranties & Disclaimers

13.1 Service Availability

• We strive for 99.9% uptime
• Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance
• Downtime for emergencies may occur without notice

13.2 "As Is" Basis

• PREMIUM FEATURES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS"
• NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED
• WE DO NOT GUARANTEE SPECIFIC RESULTS

14. Limitation of Liability

14.1 Liability Cap

• OUR MAXIMUM LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS

14.2 Exclusions

WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits or data
• Service interruptions beyond our control

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your content uploaded to the Service

16. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failures due to:

• Natural disasters
• War, terrorism, or civil unrest
• Government actions
• Internet outages beyond our control

These Terms are governed by applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

• If unresolved, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration

17.3 Class Action Waiver

• You agree to resolve disputes individually
• No class or collective actions
